Nourishing Protein Raw Energy Balls
I used to be a huge chocolate lover. It was part of my daily diet. As a slim, energetic person with a high metabolism, I thought it was perfectly fine eating a piece of chocolate most days. But in 2016, I became really ill and I was feeling unwell all the time. And I realised that my sugar cravings weren't helping. In fact, consuming so much sugar was actually hindering my wellbeing. So I gave sweet things up, including chocolate. And it feels good. Really good. But it's Easter and I've been wanting to make a healthy treat for family and friends whenever they come over. Here's a recipe from The Super Elixir that I've tried and absolutely love.
1 cup dried dates & raisins
1/2 cup almonds & cashews
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
2 scoops of The Super Elixir Chocolate Nourishing Protein
1 tablespoon almond butter
BLEND TOGETHER AND ROLL MIXTURE INTO MINI BALLS
Coat with coconut flakes
Refrigerate... or eat a few immediately. They're that good.
