Summer Beachy Waves

Summer Beachy Waves

Nothing beats effortlessly cool, tousled beach waves. It's laid-back luxe at its best. Think Kate Hudson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Blake Lively. Beachy tousled hair is literally the perfect summer look that is so easy-breezy to create, and looks gorgeous against bronzed skin, natural makeup and glossy lips. Here are the ridiculously easy, fuss-free steps to get this laid-back summer look. It's casual. It's luxe. It's voluminous. And it only takes a few good products.

1. Firstly, I wash my hair, making sure I don't use too much conditioner. To create the best waves, I want my hair to be as light as possible so that it's not weighed down. Whenever I want beachy waves, I use a light voluminous shampoo and conditioner, followed by a pea-size amount of serum to protect it from the harsh UV rays of the sun.
2. Once I've towel-dried my hair, I generously spritz a salt spray all through the mid-lengths and on the ends. I then gently brush the hair with a tangle teezer so that it's evenly coated with texture.

3. If I want super-natural, casual loose waves, I just let my hair dry naturally. However, if I want a more glossy, statement-making, voluminous look, I roughly blow dry my hair, using my finger tips to create some volume. And for a more even, smoother finish, I use a large round brush through the end while I'm drying it.

4. Once my hair is dry, I like to create some random waves with a curling iron, taking sections of hair that vary in size, making sure that I leave the ends straight and holding the curl for around 3-5 seconds.

5. Once finished, I run my fingers through my hair to break the waves up a little and give my hair a more lived-in boho look. And I finish the look with a spritz of hairspray. Too easy.
