Saint Laurent Spring 2017 Collection Paris Fashion Week

Anthony Vaccarello chose to hold his debut show for Saint Laurent in an impressive palatial uilding site that was formally a monastery and has now being restored as the label's new fashion headquarters. Vaccarello's responsibility is to re-imagine who the Saint Laurent girl is. "She's not bourgeois, and she's not classic," he said backstage during Paris Fashion Week. "She has a huge respect for Saint Laurent."

The 80's revival is strong in Paris this season and Vaccarello embraced this concept by featuring a runway full of sultry bustiers, designed in leather and velvet, paired with asymmetrical mini skirts, boyfriend jeans and tailored cigarette pants. Loving the metallic gold touches and one sleeved dresses.

Giving a nod to 80's logo-mania, Vaccarello also featured heels that spelled "YSL" with signature earrings to match. Love. This designer is one to watch, and Saint Laurent is definitely in fab form.

Love, Elle xo
