Lanvin
Spring 2017 Collection
Paris Fashion Week

There's a mini French Feminist Revolution occuring in many Parisian fashion houses, and Lanvin is well on board with this idea. Bouchra Jarrar, new Creative Director of the label, did her research on founder Jeanne Lanvin, and learned that the designer actually pre-dated other female couturiers (such as the infamous and iconic Coco Chanel) in the 1920's and 1930's. And Jarrar, who is renowned for her fitted pantsuits, edgy biker jackets and Parisian trench coats, brought this research and her own signature touches to Lanvin's latest Spring '17 Collection.

Staged in the beautiful hall of the Hotel de Ville, Jarrar opened the show with a divine oyster charmeuse pantsuit with a long chiffon shirt floating beneath it, followed by a myriad of feather-collared biker jackets, silk halter neck tops, perfectly tailored tuxedo suits and sheer gauzy lace-trimmed black dresses. Stunning. And this collection was also all about statement accessories, as the fashion label featured crystal choker necklaces, diamante stands draped over wrists and hands, gold chains sparkling beneath evening jackets, and peeking through plunging necklines.

Love. Love. Love.

Love, Elle xo
