The Super-Model Cleanse

Here's the latest on The Super-Model Cleanse

So washing your face should be a simple task, right? Nuh-uhh. I recently read an article regarding super-model beauty secrets, and found out that I actually wasn't cleansing my skin correctly. Fail! And when your skin isn't clean serious issues can arise, such as blemishes, irritations and premature ageing and wrinkles. Here are the best cleansing tips from the pros.

Make sure your hands are clean.
This seems pretty straight forward, so I'll just reiterate the need to ALWAYS wash your hands before cleansing your face. 'Nuff said.

Always apply cleanser to dry skin.
Unless it's a foaming cleanser, all other cleansers should be applied on dry skin. This allows the oils and properties of the product to really really remove all toxins and makeup from the skin.

Use your fingertips.
Wash cloths can be harsh on the skin and may also contain bacteria. Instead, gently massage your cleanser into the skin, and pat dry with a clean towel. And if needed, definitely double-cleanse whenever you can.

Never rely on cleansing wipes alone.
Yes they're super-easy and convenient. But most facial wipes contain skin-irritating chemicals. And always follow with a cleansing oil and a cleansing gel. Personally I love Milk & Co Beauty Wipes. They're paraben and alcohol free, and contain no nasties.

Cleanse twice a day. No exceptions.
A no-brainer! Cleanse in the morning when you wake up to remove the bacteria that accumulates over night. Then again each night to take off makeup and toxins collected throughout the day. Two cleanses a day keeps the dermatologist away!
