The Importance Of Water

The Institute Of Medicine suggests that women should drink around nine glasses of water every day. So why is it so important to keep hydrated? Is it really worth going to the bathroom every couple of hours? Here are the main reasons why maintaining our hydration is sooooo important.
  1. Nine glasses of water means less health problems like kidney stones, colon cancer and heart attacks.
  2. The more water we drink, the higher our metabolism. It's basic knowledge that your  metabolic rate runs more efficiently when you are fully hydrated.
  3. Scientists state that a dehydrated person finds it more difficult to problem solve, perform tasks less efficiently and are less engaged in everyday life. And we can't have that!
  4. Drinking more H2O during the day means eating less sugar and carbs, and there's nothing better than a flat stomach. Water flushes the toxins from the body and we all love that.
  5. When you're fully hydrated your complexion becomes blemish-free, wrinkle-free and your skin naturally glows from within.
  6. And finally, studies state that a properly-hydrated body means a clear, energised, alert and happy mind. And that is always a good thing.
So, it is worth drinking nine glasses of water a day?
You bet it is.
