If you're like me, your daily mantra is "Get up. Get coffee. Get on with it." And you're going to LOVE the latest research of the benefits of our favourite caffeine fix. Coffee ic packed with anti-oxidants that not only improves skin and hair, but also contains that magic elixir known as "the fountain of youth". Don't believe me? Just read on.

Brighten Up
Yep, it's totally true. A coffee-based facial scrub not only tightens and brightens the skin, but also softens fine lines and wrinkles. And it's all due to the powerful anti-oxidants and acids that coffee provides.
It's so easy to make your own coffee facial scrub. Soak freshly ground coffee beans in warm, filtered water. Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of epsom salts and mix well. And voila! You're very own exfoliator. Rinse your face well with fresh water. And apply your favourite moisturiser.

Wake Up
Once in a while, I wake up with puffy, tired eyes. Due to the fact that coffee shrinks the blood vessels, which decreases puffiness, it's no surprise that most eye creams and gels contain caffeine. When travelling, if you need a quick eye mask, soak 2 cotton pads in a cup of coffee and cold water. Then place them onto your eyes for 20-30 minutes. Puffy dark circles gone!

Scrub Up
As well as lightening and brightening your complexion, caffeine is also used in most body scrubs due to its energising and anti-cellulite properties.
It's simple to make your own coffee body scrub, for a natural and organic alternative. Mix together equal parts coffee grounds and raw sugar with some a jojoba oil and coconut oil to form a think paste. Massage all over your body and rinse off thoroughly.
