Ways I Stay Healthy During Autumn

Summer, I miss youuuu. I hate the fact that it's getting colder by the minute. But even though I'm now wearing warm knits with leather leggings and boots, it doesn't mean I have to stop my summer routines and must-haves.
Actually, Autumn is the perfect time of year to get ahead on those personal fitness goals that always seem to stop when the weather gets colder. Here's how I maintain that summer glow and stay active during this season, while keeping a strong immune system and achieving flawless skin as the winter chill hits home. Bring it on.

Staying healthy during Autumn and Winter means staying hydrated. Drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water a day keeps your skin clear and your body free of toxins. Once you get into a routine with your H2O, it's easy to maintain.

Whether it's a spin class or a run along the beach (which I love to do!) after a long day at work, staying active in the colder months is important for maintaining a healthy body and mind.

In the Autumn, it's still super-important to protect your skin from the environmental free-radicals that cause wrinkles and pigmentation. Applying sunscreen on a daily basis keeps your skin naturally youthful and moisturised. A good lip balm and a vitamin C serum also ensure that your complexion stays radiant and glowing.

Drinking your superfoods (you know the drill... dark leafy greens, ginger, berries and other high-vitamin fruits) quickly gives you maximum results. Juices are liquid gold for your complexion and immune system.

During the colder months it's sooooooo important to pay close attention to your skin's needs. The change of seasons means the skin can become really dry and dehydrated. To keep your body smooth and supple, exfoliate on a regular basis and invest in a rich creamy body cream.

It's scientifically proven that a well-rested body not only means a well-rested mind, but also improves your mood, sharpens your memory and strengthens your immune system. Developing quality night time rituals (and logging off social media) also helps you become more mindful of your body's needs.
