Seven Steps For A Super-Flat Stomach

Getting That Super-Flat Stomach

To lose those last few kilos, and get that super flat stomach, it's all about revving up the metabolism and lowering your body's production of cortisol (the 'stress' hormone that promotes fat storage). Haylie Pomroy, personal trainer of Jennifer Lopez, knows all about looking great and keeping fit. She says it takes around 3 to 4 weeks of diligence to lose those last few kilos and just go for the burn. I love these tips and tricks that Haylie developed for JLo and believe me, they work. Let's go...
  1. Eat fat-burning foods... Give your metabolism an extra kick by eating foods that are full of fibre. This makes your body use more energy and burn more calories when breaking down these foods. Choose dark leafy greens, asparagus, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, green beans, quinoa, raw almonds, asian pears, kiwi and grapefruit.
  2. Lose the 'fat-free' and 'sugar-free' mentality... Haylie says that fat-free foods naturally have a higher sugar content that immediately hits the bloodstream. Ditch the sugar-free stuff too. "The body can't process/break down artificial sweeteners, so they just get stored as fat cells."
  3. Cut out alcohol... Alcohol slows the metabolism right down and is stored as fat, making the body feel sluggish and look bloated. Cutting out alcohol = instant flat stomach.
  4. Drink water... Keep your body in top shape by drinking 12 - 16 glasses of water every day. "Dehydration stops the body from metabolising energy." Haylie ensures that her super-star clients drink a detox juice at bedtime, made with lemon juice, hot water,  a teaspoon of parsley and a pinch of cayenne.
  5. Take your supplements... Haylie recommends these vitamins: Probiotics (keep the digestive system balanced). Ther Biotic Complete 60c Klaire Labs is amazing. B-Complex (the B-vitamins lower the cortisol levels and increase the metabolism). Liquid Ultra B Complex is fantastic. You need it. Calcium (a high-calcium diet = greater weight loss especially around the stomach). GNC WELLbeING Be Balanced Dulce de Leche is brilliant. Vitamin D (taking 3000-5000mg a day keeps the weight down and the metabolism high) and Omegas (essential fatty acids stabilise blood sugar and metabolise fat). I love GNC Triple Strength Omega Complex and Coromega OMEGA 3 SUPPLEMENT.
  6. Get your sleep... Haylie says "when you're constantly tired your mind feels hungry and you start to eat more." Lack of sleep also increases the body's cortisol (stress) levels, causing you to overeat.
  7. Double the exercise routines... Haylie puts all her celebrity clients through 2 workouts a day prior to a big event. "You have to split your workouts to keep your metabolism high and burn those last calories." - Click Here!  GNC has the right multivitamin for you at!
