Living The Beach Life Makes Me Happy
I live by the beach and it never ceases to inspire, relax and motivate me. The beach is always able to de-stress my mind, re-energize my body and remind me to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Here are my Top Five reasons for loving the sand, sea and sun.

Sunshine is a natural source of Vitamin D 
The sun (UVB light) gives us 80-90% of our daily dose of Vitamin D, which is important for strong bones, healthy skin and a focused mind. Most doctors state that it's essential to get 10-15 minutes of sun, and then apply sunscreen (SPF30+) if you want more sun exposure.

Sand is a great exfoliator 
Wet sand is a natural body polish that scrubs away dead skin cells to reveal new softer skin. It's a great way to keep the skin healthy, glowing and blemish-free. I love taking a walk along the wet sand with bare feet. It's soothing, refreshing and buffs the skin to perfection.

Sunshine is an awesome anti-depressant 
Being in the sun naturally lifts the serotonin levels, helps us become more positive and more relaxed, and just makes us happier in general. Sitting on the beach, watching the waves, helps me to let go of all the negativity around me and allows me to find clarity in life.

Seawater helps the elasticity of the skin 
Scientists have proven that the sea contains many anti-ageing properties and it's a great and budget-friendly way to keep the skin tight and supple. Love it.

The beach is a fantastic place to exercise
Whether you swim, surf, play volleyball, learn to use a stand-up paddle board, go for a run, meditate or do yoga, the beach has everything you need (with a view that changes every day... can't beat that).
