Keeping Energy Levels High Every Day

Keeping Energy Levels High Every Day

There are definitely times when the stress and pressures of work can feel so overwhelming and draining. Sometimes life really hits you when you least expect it. And these are the moments when I need to feel energised, vibrant and ready to face any obstacle. Here are my Top Six Lifestyle Tips that I do everyday to keep my energy levels high at all times.

Get Enough Sleep
It sounds simple but it can be really hard getting your 8 hours of sleep every night. Soft lighting, a relaxing candle, a few fashion magazines and a good book all make it easier to unwind and relax in bed. I love spritzing some lavender oil on my pillow.

Eliminate Energy Zappers
Foods that contain refined sugar cause the body to constantly feel tired and lethargic, so I try to eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, and drink plenty of water to keep my energy levels balanced. And I prefer to use the organic sweetener Stavia.

I try to exercise 3 or 4 times a week to keep my stress levels down and my energy levels high.

Take Co-Enzyme Q10
Co-Enzyme Q10 is essential for the body to convert food into energy at the cellular level. As we age our antioxidant levels decline, which means our bodies need a supplement to fight the free radicals that attack our immune systems. CoQ10 is also amazing for migraines. GNC CoQ-10 is the best.

Know Your Vitamin Bs
Vitamins B1 (thiamine) and B2 (riboflavin) help the body metabolise carbohydrates and fats, and they are both essential for energy storage. Vitamin B6 helps reduce/regulate anxiety and depression, while restoring energy levels. Vitamin B12 is important for endurance, especially when exercising. If you're always feeling tired or exhausted, you may need to check your Vitamin B12 levels. I love these yummy B12 soft chews in Berry Blast.

Get Your Vitamin C
Vitamin C has amazing immune boosting properties and is essential for converting food into energy for the body. Loving the Super-Orange Emereng-C Energy drink.
