Five Easy Ways I Cut Sugar From My Diet




Sugar. It tastes great. But too much ruins your skin, makes you put on weight and is just plain bad for you. I read that it's actually sugar, not fat, that makes us unhealthy. Here's how I have cut sugar from my diet...
  1. I halved the amount of sugar in my coffee until I was sugar-free.
  2. Instead of buying diet drinks, I prefer soda water, ice and a wedge of lime.
  3. I don't buy biscuits, cookies, lollies, chocolate or cakes. If it's not around, I won't eat it.
  4. To keep my portions small, I have some cute little Japanese bowls that can easily hold a small amount of sweets and treats when I need a sugary fix.
  5. When I'm baking, I replace sugar with apple sauce (or apple purée) which tastes amazing and is so much better for you.
I also go completely sugar-free one day a week. It's a really easy way to detox and keep my sugar & alkaline levels balanced.
