Tips To Make Your Mondays A Whole Lot Better

Gahhh. Mondays...
Mondays always seem to be the hardest day of the week. The dread starts on Sunday night, and you begin to stress and worry about what lies ahead of you. You drag your feet as you try not to think about the next day, and those 'Monday Blues' start to creep in.

But does it have to be this way? Here are some tips to make your Monday a whole lot better.

GET ENOUGH SLEEP & WAKE UP EARLY.
Getting enough sleep is a big one for me. I like waking up feeling relaxed and ready to start the morning. Getting up early means I have time to blog, update my diary for upcoming events throughout the week, check my emails and look at my social media accounts. It's my time to relax, enjoy my coffee and collect my thoughts for the day ahead.

DRESS TO IMPRESS.
I like to start my working day feeling like I've made a effort with my appearance, which helps me feel motivated and inspired to start the week in a positive way. I always try to face the day with confidence, energy and a smile on the dial.

BE POSITIVE.
I try to start the week feeling grateful, humble, determined, inspired and motivated. I believe that whatever energy we give to the universe, it comes back ten fold. If I approach the day with happiness and appreciation, then it manifests back to me. Starting the week with the right attitude helps me feel good for the whole week.

MAKE A LIST.
I make lists for everything. I include all the deadlines, meetings and anything that I need to prepare for. And I also put in rewards, nights out, massages and positive things that I allow myself once I've reached my goals.

PREPARE FOR MONDAY ON FRIDAY.
Mondays can be so stressful if work has been left piled up from the previous week. I try to finish the week's work on Friday, which includes making any outstanding phone calls, finishing deadlines, photocopying work for the following week, ticking off my To Do Lists and tidying up my workspace.

ENJOY THE WEEKEND,
I strive to keep my work and private lives completely separate. So, weekends are for friends, shopping, going out, movies, yoga, and having fun. I make sure I have definite boundaries between work and play, and I try hard not to get involved in any form of office politics.
