  1. Drink Water (and lots of it) ~ Drinking water increases the body's metabolic rate by 10% which allows your body to burn off those extra tricky calories.
  2. Eat Breakfast ~ Eating breakfast within 30 mins of rising kick-starts your metabolism and keeps your energy high all day.
  3. Drink coffee ~ One cup of coffee increases your metabolic rate by 8% which helps the body burn calories. Gotta love that!
  4. Take your Vitamin D ~ Vitamin D helps keep your insulin levels in check and boosts your serotonin... and that keeps your mind and body happy!
  5. Eat Protein ~ Protein builds lean muscle which increases your metabolism. So, eat more skinless chicken, fish, beans, eggs, nuts and seeds.
  6. No Dieting ~ Starving or depriving your body of food not only decreases your metabolism, but also lowers your energy levels. Instead of burning fat, the body holds onto fat.
  7. Get Enough Sleep ~ Getting less than 8 hours of sleep makes the body sluggish and actually increases your body's need for sugar.
