How I Get Energised When The Afternoon Slump Kicks In

In my line of work, I need long-lasting energy that doesn't fizzle in the afternoon, and here's how I cope with fatigue and get the most out of my day.

1. I've been taking a supplement that helps with my metabolism and fuels the body throughout the day.  It's CoQ10 which is essential for energy and maintaining high antioxidant levels (that naturally decline as we age). I started with 400 mg a day for the first 2 months, then went down to 200 mg for daily maintenance. You will feel your energy levels increase within the first three weeks. I promise!

2. When I exercise, I want to feel revitalised not drained, so I usually workout for 20-40 minutes. This gives me endurance and increases my metabolism, without overloading the body. I like mixing up cardio and strength a few times a week in order to keep energy levels high.
3. I try to go for a walk outside during my lunch hour. Exposure to natural sunlight really helps fight fatigue and regulates the circadian levels (which keep the body and mind feeling alert and energised).
4. I love my coffee, but I try to drink it sensibly and wisely. It's great for a quick pick-me-up in the morning, but I avoid any form of caffeine after midday, and instead drink water to maintain focus and energy.
These tips definitely work for me!
