Overnight Beauty Tips

Overnight Beauty Tips

Night time is when your body's cells repair themselves, restoring and rebuilding your skin.  To help your body look and feel its best, here are my tips for waking up with glowing skin, glossy wavy hair and more...

  1. Sleep with the window open ~ I was told a long time ago that sleeping with the window slightly open enables the skin to stay radiant when you wake up the next morning. No more puffy eyes!
  2. Drink a glass of water before bed ~ French women have been doing this for years. It's great for the skin and body.
  3. Sleep candles ~ Light a relaxing sleep candle half an hour before bed. Look for a candle that has lavender oil in it. Lavender increases relaxation and deep sleep.
  4. Get glowing ~ I love using a hydrating face mask overnight. It hydrates and moisturises the skin, allowing you to wake up with glowing, radiant skin the next day.
  5. Du-Puff ~ If you wake up with puffy, tired eyes, add an extra pillow and sleep on your back. This allows the fluid around the eyes to drain away and decrease puffiness.
  6. Beachy Waves ~ To wake up with glossy wavy hair, wash hair at night, rub some coconut oil on the ends and leave it to dry naturally, then sleep with your hair in plaits or twist your hair into a high loose bed bun overnight.
  7. The Bed Bun ~ This is a trick I learned when starting modelling to give your hair that undone, wavy look that casting agents love. Before going to bed, flip your head over, twist hair into a top bun, and secure with an elastic (don't pull your hair all the way through). Take the elastic band out in the morning, lightly brush through with some volumising spray and you'll have swishy hair all day.
  8. Toned legs ~ It's best to apply body oils at night so the skin can repair itself while you sleep. After a shower at night, apply argon oil to your legs for toned, smooth, baby soft skin the next day. I swear by this tip. It really works.
Happy sleeping!
