Foods That Keep My Stomach Flat

I love summer, and I live near the beach, which means I practically live in denim shorts and bikinis throughout the summer holidays. I'm a big believer in eating right and knowing which foods make me look and feel great. so here are my top five foods that give me lots of energy, are easily digested and flatten the stomach.

  1. Rice is a carbohydrate that is fully digested by the body and is much better than starchy foods that sit in the stomach like wheat, oats, corn and potatoes.
  2. Bananas are full of potassium, which is an awesome mineral that gets rid of any salt that builds up in the body. Salt soaks up all the water within your body, which can make you feel bloated and yucky.
  3. Yoghurt is full of amazing 'active cultures' that really help the body digest food properly. The best kinds are plain, non-fat and low-fat. Add fruit for sweetness.
  4. Cucumber is a natural 'tummy flattening' food, and is a great snack when you are feeling bloated. It is high in water and tastes great.
  5. Peppermint Tea is great for soothing any stomach aches, and helps with digestion and relaxes the muscles.
It's all about moderation and eating great organic food most of the time, but also allowing yourself some treats throughout the summer months.
