The 80/20 Rule For A Healthy Life

Drink lots and LOTS of water. Our bodies are around 70% water, and we need to replenish our H2O levels all the time.

Reduce your intake of white sugar, pasteurised dairy, table salt and white flour from your diet. 
I'm not saying we need to cut these items from our diet altogether. But cutting back will help the mind and the body to feel better.

Say no to genetically modified foods to prevent the signs of early ageing.
Choose local organic foods that are free of toxins/chemicals. Toxins prevent the body from processing and breaking down fats.

Increase your intake of good fats. 
Good fats give you amazing skin and great energy levels.

Snack right. 
We snack to stabilize/increase our blood sugar levels. I always ensure that I add some protein with a piece of fruit, which helps the sugar levels from becoming too high.

Say no to skipping meals. 
This causes the body to store carbohydrates as fats, which makes us feel sluggish.
Say yes to natural sweeteners. Sweeter fruits like dates, berries, pineapple and citrus fruit give the body that much-needed sugar fix.

Go by the 80/20 Rule. 
I always try to take care of my body 80% of the time, so that when the party season/date night/birthdays arrive, I give myself a chance to be naughty and let go of the rules.
