Friends and family know that there are two sides to my life. The 'professional' and the 'private'. Professionally, my life is very hectic, chaotic, with lots of meetings, long hours and plain hard work. I need to be organised, flexible, and it's important to work well with my team. So, I'm all about keeping my personal life as easy and uncomplicated as possible. Here are some things that I do to make my life less stressful...
  • I don't create or get involved in any unnecessary gossip or drama. I've never been a drama queen. It's just not in my DNA.
  • I meet deadlines ahead of schedule. I hate having reports looming over my head, so I assign an hour each day for this type of work.
  • I follow my heart and intuition at all times, and I let go of grudges, jealousy and anger.
  • I get lots of sleep, drink lots of water, and eat the right foods that will give me lots of energy. For me, exercise and a healthy lifestyle are imperative.
  • I make lists, I write things down and I plan ahead. I'm terrible at remembering things, and this helps me to stop procrastinating.
  • I keep my desk, office and living spaces super tidy. This is a hard one for me, as I'm naturally messy, but an organised work/living space really helps me to see what's important.
  • I love what I do, but my job is not my life. It's easy to get carried away, and let your career take over your lifestyle, so I leave unfinished tasks at the office. Because, home is where I relax and switch off. I go for a run, light some candles, put on some soft music, and I love ending the day with a gorgeous bubble bath.
