How I Wear A Ruby Red Lip

I don't really wear lipstick. I'm usually a lip gloss or lip stain kinda girl, and I own quite a few different lip glosses. But there are times when I have to wear a strong, ruby coloured lipstick... often, in photo shoots or at promotion events, the client may require the models to have a bold lip. So, here are some things that I have learned about how to wear raspberry lipstick...

Exfoliate lips with a lip scrub for a smooth application.

Play up the lips, play down the eyes. A bright lip only needs bronzer, blush, nude eyelids & lashings of black mascara. No dark eye shadow. Don't forget to use that eyelash curler as well.
Prime the lips with concealer, then colour in the lips with a matte lip pencil so there is no feathering (stay within the lip line).

Blue undertones suit most skin tones AND make teeth appear whiter. Coral or orange-red colours may make teeth appear yellow.
Having a bright lip means shoulders-back-stand-tall confidence!
